Social Entrepreneurship

Social Entreneurship is the work of socila entrpreneurs. A social entrpreneur recognizes a social problem and uses principles of an entrepreneur to organize, create, and manage a venture to achieve socila change.
Susan B. Anthony and John Muir are two social entrepreneurs. Susan B. Anthony fought for women's rights in the U.S., including the right to control property. She also helped the adoption of the 19th amendment. Her early work was the New York anti slavery movements. John was a naturalist and an early advocate of the preservation of the wilderness. He also created the Sierra Club which is a very large conservation group. Muir first got into this conservation when he took a walk in Yosemite.
